Facilis Descensus Averno (The Descent into Hell is Easy)

As an artist, the quote, “The descent into Hell is easy” has always appealed to me. We all have choices, but outcomes from poor decision-making can have awful consequences for us as individuals, those around us and even the world in general.

Our lives follow paths of light and shade. My drawings are representations of people in an array of situations, some of which imply how easy it is to topple onto the chasm of self-destruction. Some straddle temptation more than others.
